Indexation of wholesale gas prices for the population in Russia will take place on August 1, follows from the order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).
“To approve from August 1, 2020, wholesale prices for gas produced by PJSC Gazprom and its affiliates, intended for subsequent sale to the public, in accordance with the appendix to this order,” the text says .
In early April, the FAS submitted projects on increasing gas prices from July 1 for both the population and industry, but later suggested temporarily freezing the indexation, and there was no increase.
In the summer of 2019, gas prices intended for sale to the public were indexed by 1.4%, a year earlier – by 3.4%.
