Russian President Vladimir Putin voted on constitutional amendments at one of Moscow’s PECs. The video was published in the Telegram channel “Rise”.
The head of state arrived at the site in the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the south-west of Moscow, where he traditionally votes in elections, writes TASS .
The day before, on the eve of the main voting day, Putin called on Russians to take part in a plebiscite, noting the importance of the vote of every citizen. He also noted that the proposed changes will fix the main values of the Russian people in the basic law. The Russian leader assured that amendments to the 1993 document can only be made with the approval of the majority.
The all-Russian vote on the constitutional amendments is held from June 25 to July 1. Among the amendments put to the vote is the right of the current president of Russia to be re-elected for a new term, the priority of Russian legislation over international.
